Our Home Energy Audit is an opportunity for residential customers to see the potential for energy saving measures and to commit to install energy saving improvements with the help of generous program incentives. The phone call and initial visit by our trained technician is free to you. An auditor will cover all the topics below and more, including: program education, evaluation of all energy end-users, and a comprehensive report tailored to each customer's needs. STANDARD PROGRAM INCENTIVES

*Non-electric heat measures are not provided to customers with gas space heating. Gas heat customers are instead offered incentives through the KeySpan energy efficiency program available by calling 800-292-2032.

1 A.F.U.E is a measure of how efficiently a heating system converts fuel into useful heat. The A.F.U.E. is the Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency and takes into account the start-up and shut-down operating losses to reflect more realistic operating conditions.  AFUE of model must be equal or greater than this value to be eligible for rebate.

Solar Domestic Hot Water Heating System Pilot Program

After space heating and cooling, water heating is typically the second largest user of energy in the home and can account for as much as 19% of total home energy use, according to the EPA. When you have turned down the water temperature, insulated the tank and wrapped the pipes and done all the energy saving measures recommended through the home energy audit then you may want to see if a solar hot water heating system is right for you.

This pilot program is limited to up to 19 systems, installed between May 1 - November 30, 2008, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note: This pilot program is limited to Cape Light Compact year-round residential customers who currently use electric hot water storage with a family size of 4 or more.

Steps to participate :

2. Complete and submit rebate application (below) for pre-approval
